Want to know more about Lutherans, vist our home church of St. Mark's Lutheran Church @ www.smlccg.org.
For over a decade we have worked in partnership with Fr. Frank Corbishley, UM Episcopal Student Center Chaplain, in our student ministry on campus. By no means are all of our Chapel students Episcopalian or Lutheran. We typically have Baptists, Roman Catholics, members of the United Church of Christ, Presbyterians, and others who choose to make the Chapel their church home during their college years. People of no specific belief and other seekers have also been part of our worshiping community. Everyone is welcome regardless of race, color, sexual orientation, or creed (or lack thereof!).
We are here to serve all students at the University of Miami. The words "Lutheran" and "Episcopalian" do not describe whom we are here to serve; rather they describe what we have to offer. Any and all students who are interested in joining us are welcome.
Lutheran Campus Ministry, held in partnership with The Episcopal Church Center at the University of Miami, is a center of progressive Christianity on campus where we try to follow Christ by developing an inclusive community that works to bring Christ's love to a hurting world. Our Chapel is a place where progressive Christianity and traditional worship meet.
UM Lutheran Campus Ministry returns in August 30, 2009.
UM Lutheran Campus Ministry is off until August 30th. If you like to reach Pr. Perrry with any questions or just need a good ear, please contact him @ arperry@bellsouth.net, and @ 786-525-9348.
Also keep in your prayers all the students, teachers, family members, the staffs of St. Mark's and UM Episcopal Student Cente, and of course Paster Perry and Fr. Frank Corbishley.
